Stanley Kubrick’s ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ is considered to be a masterpiece of the cinema. The film was very much ahead of its time, based on the novel of the same name by Arthur Clarke. The film talked about life beyond the cosmos and how the human race stepped into evolution after evolution. The story revolved around a team of astronauts who are on the Jupiter mission to study the relevance of monoliths and their connection with the evolution of humans.

However, the mission fails and one of the crew members, in the end, is seen aging and then is reborn, a quite complicated ending but very meaningful too. And this film received a lot of appreciation, but the sequel to this amazing story remains underrated, and a science fiction admirer surely can’t miss out on this epic film. ‘2010: The Year we make Contact’ the film which was released in 1984 was based on the story where a group of scientists is sent to find out what went wrong with the Jupiter mission.
