Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor says that he will be giving singing a shot. Earlier in 1986 when Subash Ghai was making his action-drama movie titled ‘Karma’ he came up with the idea that his hero should sing and he asked Anil Kapoor to sing alongside Poonam Dhillon. As soon as Anil started singing he sounded horrible. So Anil asked his director Subah Ghai to hire country’s best singer to croon and then they got Kishore Kumar to sing in the movie.
Now, almost after three decades later, director Atul Manjrekar want Anil to sing two songs for his upcoming musical drama movie title ‘Fanney Khan‘. The movie which is produced by Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment, and T-Series. According to the reports, the movie will arrive in cinemas in April next year. The movie features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in the lead.
For his upcoming musical drama movie, Anil says that he will give singing a shot. In the movie, he would be seen playing the role of a failed singer and for that, he has to sing two songs. The filmmakers want the movie to be as real as possible and that is why they want Anil to sing. But Anil says that if his voice is not up to the mark then he will be the first one to reject it. Earlier Anil used to learn a semi classical music, but he stopped while ago.
Talking about the movie ‘Fanney Khan’, which is said to be a musical comedy movie, which is an official remake of Dominique Deruddere’s Everybody’s Famous and the movie will be based on the father and daughter story. About the movie, director Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra says that it is a great story and the whole team is very excited to showcase it to the world.
Anil says that Rakyesh narrated him the story around five years ago and his friend Rohit Khattar made him watch the original movie and he loved it. In the movie, he will be seen in two different looks, one would be in a young and budding singer and second would be the father of an 18-year-old girl working in a small company. About this Anil says, “The real revelation in the look will come later and adding the silver in my hair is the result of the struggles and hardships my character has been through.”
Recently, Anil attended the wedding of his close friend’s daughter, fashionista and millionaire heiress, Anooshe Mussarat as she tied the knot with the businessman Edmund Kissner. At the wedding, Anil shook a leg with his adorable daughter Sonam Kapoor while Rhea stayed back in Delhi because she has to oversee the production of her upcoming movie titled ‘Veere Di Wedding‘. Anil considers Anooshe as her own daughter and he had taken four days off in advance just to attend her wedding.
Anil’s daughter Rhea Kapoor began the shooting for her upcoming movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ on September 1 and he began two days later for his movie ‘Fanney Khan’. Talking about the movie “Veere Di Wedding”, it is the story of four girls and they will be going to attend Kareena’s wedding. The movie features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Sumeet Vyas, Akanksha Malhotra, Shikha Talsania, Harpal Singh, and Javed Shaikh.
