The father-son duo to go from real to reel. Looks like it won’t be long before we get to see the father-son jodi of Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor on screen, and that too, playing father and son. The duo have apparently been signed for Kannan Iyer‘s next, a biopic on Olympic-winning shooter Abhinav Bindra.

Harshvardhan will play Abhinav while Anil Kapoor will be seen in the role of his father AS Bindra, a Chandigarh-based millionaire industrialist who owns a huge agro-food business in Punjab. Abhinav’s father has been crucially instrumental in his rise to World Championship. After he returned from Sydney Olympics, his father invested in a farmhouse where Abhinav could practice shooting in peace. The duo are expected to meet with the Bindras to understand the sports and various aspects of their life.

While all details of the film have been locked in and the makers have received a nod from Abhinav, they are negotiating the dates with Anil Kapoor is currently shooting in London for Anees Bazmee’s comedy ‘Mubarakan‘ in which he plays uncle to real life nephew Arjun Kapoor. He plays a love guru to the young actor and will help him choose between prospective brides, played by Athiya Shetty and Illeana D’Cruz. As far as Harshvardhan is concerned, he would have to undergo intense training in rifle shooting. Interestingly, his debut film last year, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s romantic saga Mirzya, saw him undergo training for horse riding and archery.
