Television actress Ankita Lokhande, who was seen playing the role of an obedient daughter, daughter-in-law, a wife, and a mother in her famous TV show “Pavitra Rishta.” Now, she is all ready to make her entry into Bollywood.
According to the recent reports, an actor would be playing a crucial role in Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.” Ankita would be seen playing the character of ‘Jhalkaribai’, who was the right hand of Rani Laxmibai and she was part of her army.
Confirming this Ankita said,”I’d never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I’m honoured that I’ll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana’s Rani Laxmibai.” She added,”I am indebted to Kamal sir for this challenging role in a big – budget film scripted by Baahubali scriptwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad alongside a National-award winning actress like Kangana who exudes power and is an inspiration to all women. I am looking forward to learning from her once we start shooting in August.”
