An Indian film director Anurag Basu says that he will definitely work with the actor Ranbir Kapoor again in the future. Anurag says that he is very happy that the actor Ranbir Kapoor stood up along with him when his father Rishi Kapoor blamed him for the failure of the movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’.
Both of them (Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu) have first collaborated with the movie ‘Barfi’, which was a blockbuster hit and their second movie was ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and the movie have failed to make a mark at the Box Office Collection. On this Rishi Kapoor got very angry and he called Anurag as an irresponsible director.
However, Rishi lashed out at him for not completing the movie before time and he has also claimed that Ranbir being a producer did not get a chance to see the final product of the movie a day before its release. However, Ranbir defended the director Anurag Basu and said that he did not agree with the Rishi’s criticism of ‘Jagga Jasoos’. He says that his father Rishi Kapoor is just trying to protect him.
On this Anurag said that it is very sweet of him that he said such things because he feels that it is very difficult to give statements like this. Anurag said that he will definitely work with the actor Ranbir for a movie. Moreover, Rishi has even said that both the directors Anurag Basu as well as Anurag Kashyap who has worked in a movie ‘Bombay Velvet’ could handle a big budget movie.
While replying to this Anurag Basu commented that he is happy with the statement that people know Anurag Basu and Anurag Kashyap are two different people and he is not hurt with this. He says that whenever somebody makes a movie you get both positive as well as negative feedback from the people. Even Mr. Amitabh Bachchan said a very sweet thing on his Twitter account after watching the movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ that he felt very good. If he is getting positive comments for this movie then he should also be ready and mentally prepared for the negative comments as well.
Director Anurag Basu says that the movie was primarily aimed at children and if we talk about the poor response of the movie Anurag has clearly mentioned while promoting his movie that the movie is meant for the kids. The whole team did a lot of hard work in making a film and there are a lot of things in the movie which shows that the movie is made for the kids because he knew that the adult mind might question few things in the movie.
Anurag is very satisfied with the kind of response he got from his movie because not even a single kid come up to him by saying that the movie is lengthy and boring. He would have disappointed if kids would not have liked the movie and he even thinks that kid did not go to watch the movie in the large number this might the reason of the movie’s failure.
Almost about two weeks back a major fire broke at the RK Studios where the first season of Anurag Basu’s dance reality show with a title ‘Super Dance’ has been shot. On this Anurag says that it is very sad and an unfortunate incident happened. He has been shooting in that studio from his television days and he still remembers seeing archives which are burnt now and he feels very sad for the actor Ranbir Kapoor. He is however very happy to return as a judge on the reality show titled ‘Super Dance Chapter 2’, which premieres on September 30 on Sony Entertainment Television.
