Director Anurag Basu has been planning a biopic on music legend Kishore Kumar for the last four years. However, things seem to have come to a standstill on this front.
Anurag Basu is currently busy with his upcoming movie “Jagga Jasoos“, which is an upcoming Indian musical adventure romantic comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor.
When asked about his biopic director said,”That is one film which I am really looking forward to. But it’s quite difficult to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar. There are lots of legal things also when you’re doing a biopic. So we are going through all those things, trying to resolve. Ranbir is also looking forward to the film.”
Meanwhile, Anurag Basu is busy promoting his upcoming film “Jagga Jasoos” which is a musical comedy. He said,”I love musicals, all adventure stories and had stacks of Tintin… It was just in the back of my mind and the childhood came out. There was no process, no method in it. When you start writing, you discover your childhood. But the musical genre is very tough. So it was challenging and very scary. But that’s what is exciting about filmmaking.”
‘Jagga Jasoos‘ is all set to release om 14th July, this year.
