In a recent interview with the Press, Anushka has expressed her intention of featuring the character Suppandi from the 1900s Indian comic book – the Tinkle Series in her upcoming collection for her clothing line Nush. The young actress has explained how she had spent her childhood lazing around and reading stories from the Tinkle comics rather than the more popular American comic books that her friends used to read. Anushka explains that she wants to use her connections within the country and globally to promote Suppandi, her favorite character in the comics and make its popularity equal to that of Mickey Mouse.

Anushka had noticed through the eyes of a business expert the fact that items like clothes and other categories in the fashion industry which had iconic characters like the Minney Mouse boosted sales at an immense rate. Her next collection for Nush is set to be out by the 9th of May and is thus expected to contain numerous items with the picture of that one Indian cartoon character imprinted on them.

Anushka expects this decision of hers to bring good results and success for her clothing line throughout India. She also plans to extend her target audience to encompass the American market. During the launch of this collection, Anushka is expected to be in Alabama, shooting for her upcoming movie Zero. During her stay in Alabama, Anushka Sharma expects to use her connections in the US to promote and help spread the popularity of the Indian culture.
