Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman is now all set to make his debut as a producer and writer. The well known Indian music director, composer, musician, singer, and music producer announced his next project, 99 Songs, a “love story with music at its soul.”
Taking it to Twitter AR Rahman announced his project and with a caption, “A very special announcement,” tweeted a photo.
“I am very excited to announce the release of my first film as a producer and writer, ’99 Songs’, a young passionate love story, with as its soul. My production company, YM movies, is thrilled to have Jio Studios as a partner on this really special venture, ” the photo read.

“99 Songs will be released in cinemas in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on June 21, 2019. I thank you all for the love, support, and encouragement you have showered on me,” it further read.
In an interview to an English daily, AR Rahman said, “Writing is the nucleus of any project. It is the core vision behind any film! Since my movie is a musical, it needed a really strong script to bring it to life and create an impact.”
According to media reports, the highly anticipated song will feature vocals from Arjun Chandy, Nakul Abyankar, M C Heam, Suryansh, Hiral Viradia, Lavita Lobo and Deepthi Suresh among others.
