After the epic success of the song Teri Meri Kahani that introduced Ranu Mondal, the makers of the upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer have released another song.
Titled Ashiqui Mein Teri 2.0, the songs is a remake of Himesh’s own super hit song Ashiqui Mein Teri from the 2006 film 36 China Town. As the track carries some nostalgic value attached to it, it is likely to become a huge hit. Even it has crossed over a million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
Crooned and composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the song also features the internet sensation Ranu Mondal while lyrics have been written by Himesh and Sameer.
Himesh took to his social media account to share the song and wrote, “Ashiqui Mein Teri 2.0 from Happy Hardy And Heer is out. It is another personal favourite of mine after Teri Meri Kahani. Happy Hardy and Heer releases on 3 rd jan 2020 all over, love you all ♥️ thanks for all the support.”
Talking about the song, Himesh said, “I enjoyed every moment recreating my own chartbuster track which I had composed for the Shahid Kapoor-starrer 36 China Town a decade back. Although Ashiqui Mein Teri 2.0 is a sure shot party anthem, there is a lot of depth and a very soulful melody attached to the song which have helped making the love story of Happy Hardy and Heer timeless.”

As for Ranu, this is her second song after Teri Meri Kahani, which also became immensely popular. She became an overnight internet singing star earlier this year after a video of her singing Lata Mangeshkar’s evergreen number Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai on a railway platform went viral on social media.
Directed by Raka, Happy Hardy and Heer is a romantic comedy film, produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand. Himesh will take up the lead role while Sonia Mann, a Punjabi actress will mark her second Hindi film as a lead actress.
The film is slated to release on 3rd of January next year.
