Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana‘s upcoming movie titled ‘Badhaai Ho‘ is all set to release next year. Ayushmann had a fabulous 2017 year because both of his movie ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’ had done a great business at the box office. Currently, he is busy gearing up for his upcoming movie titled ‘Shoot the Piano Player’, which will be directed by Sriram Raghavan. It seems like an actor has already planned his next year.
In the next year, an actor will also be seen in the movie titled ‘Badhaai Ho’, which will be directed by Amit Sharma and will be produced by the Junglee Pictures and an actor will be starting the shooting of the movie in New Delhi in January next year. The movie will be based on the coming-of-age-story and the movie will follow certain news on a family and will also show that how the members deal with it in their own way. The directors of the movie have earlier directed the movie ‘Tevar’ in 2015, which features Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor in the lead.
About the movie, actor, Ayushmann Khurrana says that he had a wonderful experience collaborating along with the Junglee Pictures for the movie ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and now he is working on them in his upcoming movie titled ‘Badhaai Ho’ and he feels that this movie will be going to be even more exciting. He says that the story that Amit tells is typically Indian with the dollops of a quirky humor. He always looks out for a family movie that has a both innovative and entertaining.
Director of the movie, Amit Sharma has been working on the script of the movie for the last two and half years along with his writers Akshat Ghildial and Shantanu Srivastava from the day when the former came up with the one line story idea. Earlier, he refused to divulge the details for fear of giving away the secret and he even admits that he fell in love with the script of the movie with it instantly. About the movie’s script, he says that it is very easy and everyone can relate themselves to that. The scripts have those matters which is funny for others but serious for the family.
He even reveals that the co-producer Priti Shahani had been working on a similar concept but when they read each other’s script they both have agreed to that his script was better and they both have decided to collaborate. Moreover, Amit feels that the Ayushmann is a likable and a relatable actor as he has done many movies on the taboo subjects like sperm donation, erectile dysfunction, body shaming and he essayed all his role so convincingly.
The title of the movie ‘Badhaai Ho’ is very catchy and he says that he is working on the title from the first day and while he had intended to change it along the way, but then he realized that it is very simple, quirky and very apt and this title is a part of many people’s everyday lingo.
