An actor feels good when his films are appreciated. They get happier when the audience belonging to foreign lands, watch their films. It makes their reach wide. Indian actor, Ayushmann Khurrana must be happy right now, and rightly so, as his film Bala had its premiere in Berlin. Yes, the film had released a year ago, but on September 27, it again played at Berlin.

Why was this so? Well, the film was part of the ongoing Indo-German Film Week, making it a part of the few films, to play there. Even, Ayushmann had shared the news on his Instagram story.

Apart from Khurrana, the film had starred Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar in lead. It was released on November 8, 2019, and told the story of a young man, suffering from premature balding. The man hides this fact from his girlfriend, marries her, only for her to eventually find this out and leave him. His childhood best friend, played by Bhumi, helps him rediscover his value, destroying the predetermined standards of society.

Made on a mini-budget of Rs 25 crore, the film became a huge success at the box office, minting Rs 171 crore at the box office.

While the film became a box office success, the critics had also praised it for its strong storyline and message. Amar Kaushik had directed the film, with Dinesh Vijan producing it.
