Elvis Presley was an icon. He had flamboyance, charisma and talent, all rolled into one. The man was a complete package, a bonafide entertainer. The pompadour was made famous by him. In 1977, he left us all. Though there has never been any one else like him after his death.
Now, a tragic news related to him has arrived. His grandson, Benjamin Keough has passed away. At the age of 27, he has died because of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Benjamin was the son of Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. She also has a daughter, actor Riley Keough(31 years old) from her ex-husband, Danny Keough.
Lisa’s representative, Roger Widynowski talked to news publications, after the demise of her son. She claimed that Lisa is heartbroken and in a terrible state after getting to know about her son’s death. Benjamin died on Sunday in Calabasas, California.
Widynowski released a statement on behalf of Leslie and said :
“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley, She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
Several people who got to know about his death, tweeted their condolences. Nancy Sinatra led the way, tweeting :
“I have known you since before your mama gave birth to you, never dreaming you would have pain like this in your life. I’m so very sorry.”
Benjamin has joined his grandfather, Elvis and we hope his soul attains peace.
