After Anushka Shetty’s debut in 2005, she truly has been the Devasana we all look upon to. For an actress to be successful she must have the face of Venus, the brains of a Minerva and the figure of Juno. And a woman such as this was rejected on her first audition! And now the woman is head storming through the South Indian platforms is back with Bhaagamethi.
Anushka is known for her powerful performances. Be it Rudramadevi, Arundathi or Devasena this woman continues to impress us all. After the much-awaited break, she has returned to her new on-screen performance in and as Bhaagamethi. It is claimed to be a horror thriller with a strong script and cast promising to be another impressive collection.
When asked if her role will have hints of her previous ones embedded in them she says that there will be no traces and will be a very contemporary one with a great screenplay. “It’s not about the focus on me but rather about doing justice to the character and project. I pick the best characters and my choice should just work for me in terms of script, director, actor or producer”.
Although she is known for wielding a sword Sweety is more into love and fantasy genres and doesn’t find the liking towards horror and thriller. The project was first approached to her 4 years ago but was put on hold as her dates never matched to carry it forward. She says she’s thankful to UV creations to even have waited for this long.
The first traces of the project were made on Anushka’s birthday the 7th of November. It is set to hit the theatres worldwide on 26th January.
