Harshvardhan Kapoor’s latest movie Bhavesh Joshi Superhero has finally released its official trailer on YouTube, giving the audience a glimpse of what they are exactly about to experience this May. Vikramaditya Motwane’s original Indian superhero film is set for release to the citizens of India on 25th May, 2018.
After it’s short teaser was released a few months prior to this, most of the viewers found a very close link between Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and another very popular American superhero film. The Indian viewers indeed found a way to link this Hindi conception with the famed DC movie series – Batman.
The setting of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, as shown in the first official teaser, is quite comparable to that of the renowned Gotham City in the DC comic and film saga for Batman. The same kind of corruption ruled over both the metropolitan as the weak public were oppressed. Where Bhavesh Joshi Superhero deviates is that compared to the high technology Batman owned due to the courtesy of his comrade Alfred Pennyworth, that kind of tech is not available to Siku, the protagonist of the movie.
Siku uses a common paper bag with an aggressive face painted on it rather than an elegant mask, and uses mere physical fighting skills like the ‘Insaaf Punch’, or the ‘Punch of Justice’ rather than any expensive inventions to punish the corrupt people roaming the streets of Mumbai. Yet, he solves the problem anyway. All of it seems to work out too, except the inevitable plot twist in the middle of the story which awaits the audience. Whether Siku will be able to overcome the setback and defeat the corruption in Mumbai will be revealed to the audience on 25th May, 2018.
