Reportedly, actress Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh have collaborated with Arjun Kapoor for Mudassar Aziz’s light-hearted comedy film titled Meri Patni Ka Remake. The film’s team is said to be in advanced talks with the two actresses to play the female leads in the film, which is set to go on floors in the second half of 2022.

Arjun Kapoor has geared up for Mudassar Aziz’s comedy-drama Meri Patni Ka Remake. Produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, the film is slated to go on floors around June/July this year.
According to Pinkvilla’s sources, the teams are in advanced talks with Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar to play the female lead in this film. “Even the title suggests that the script revolves around not one but two female protagonists. After contemplating various names, the team has initiated conversations with Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar to step in to play two of the most important characters of the film. The humour of the Meri Patni Ka Remake is very much like Govinda films from the 90s,” revealed a source close to the development.
The film marks Bhumi’s second collaboration with Mudassar after Pati Patni Aur Woh. However, Rakul is all prepared for her first project with the director. The actress recently won the audience’s hearts with her stellar performance in Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34.

The Lady Killer marks the first collaboration between Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The duo started the shoot around mid-April this year. The actor shared an adorable picture from their filming location in Manali. Have a look.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Shaailesh R Singh, the Ajay Bahl directorial is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Karma Media and Entertainment. Announcing the film, the Ishaqzaade actor wrote, “Isme Thrill hai. Romance Hai. Emotion Hai. Suspense Hai!! Presenting to you, #TheLadykiller. A thrilling, nerve-racking love story & my most ambitious film yet.” The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 8, 2022.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor has various projects pipelined including Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kuttey and Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns. The latter also features Tara Sutaria, John Abraham and Disha Patani in key roles.
Bhumi Pednekar, on the other hand, will be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Rakshabandhan and Govinda Naam Mera with Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.
