bhumi pednekar-

Bhumi Pednakar has made a mark in Bollywood for her impressive and commendable choice of movies. Now she has added yet another accolade to her name by making it to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.

Bhumi, who is very happy with this gesture of appreciation took to twitter to share her response. She wrote, “Thank you, Forbes India for this honor. Truly feels special to be a part of this list with such dynamic people. More power to all of you”.

Bhumi, who is just 28, has been a part of several path breaking movies that involve a social message. In Toilet: Ek Prem Katha she essayed the role of an aware individual who posits the problem of open defecation for woman across our country. Again in Shubh mangal Saavdhan, Bhumi and team projected the stereotype associated with erectile dysfunction. She has been taking up socially relevant issues as basic thematic sources for her movies and is carving a niche for herself with the brilliance of her craft.

As reported by IANS, “The Forbes’ list is representative of 15 categories. The selected names were judged on three broad measures – the extent of the impact of their achievements, and their ability to disrupt the status quo; scalability of the business or line of work and; their potential to stay a long-term player”, and Bhumi sure fits the bill.

Along with Bhumi, Masaan fame Vicky Kaushal and popular web series Girl in the City and Little Things fame Mithila Palkar are also part of the list.

Vicky also showed his gratitude on twitter by saying, ” Thank You for this honour @ForbesIndia #FobesIndia30U30″. Here’s a look:

Bhumi will soon be seen alongside Shushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya.
