We recently reported that actors Bhumi Pednekar, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani would star in a new film directed by Shashank Khaitan. Now, we have learnt that the film, which is being produced by Karan Johar, has got it its title. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Mr Lele has been finalised as the title of the film. The report quoted a source close to the development as saying, “After contemplating several options, the makers have zeroed in on Mr Lele as it suits the story best.”
The film is reported to be a full commercial entertainer with trademark Shashank Khaitan and Varun Dhawan stamped all over it. The source said it is very different from anything the three actors have done before. The film is currently in the prep and expected to go on the floors in late February or early March. The first schedule will be shot in Mumbai.
While it would be the first time that Khaitan would be directing Pednekar and Advani, he has previously collaborated as director with Dhawan on two commercially successful films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and its sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Advani and Khaitaan have collaborated for upcoming film Good Newwz which Khaitan has co-produced. It would also be the first time that the three actors would share the screen space.
