After the dastardly attack in Pulwama, in which 40 plus CRPF troopers were killed by a suicide bomber, who rammed a car into an army convoy on February 14, people of India have been religiously donating to the Martyrs on Bharat Ke Veer website. The website is run by a committee comprising of Director Generals of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Earlier it was reported that celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan will be donating 5 lakh to each of the families of Martyr’s soldiers and Salman Khan through his Being Human Charitable Foundation has contributed his bit to Bharat Ke Veer with an unspecified amount of donation.

The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, has admired Salman Khan via his Twitter Handle and wrote, “Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan on offering to contribute for Pulwama Martyrs through BEING HUMAN FOUNDATION. I’ll work out for handing over of the cheques in the account of #BharatKeVeer @BharatKeVeer.”

Singer-actor Diljeet Dosanjh also has donated ₹3 lakh to the wives CRPF Troopers who died in the terror attack in Pulwama District. He donated money through CRPF Wives Welfare Association, and shared the snapshot of the same and wrote, “Our soldiers protect the country and the citizens of the country. They have to live away from their loved ones, not knowing what the next day will bring. The families don’t know when will they see them next. But there was always a hope which is now gone for these families.”

Actor Akshay Kumar, who is known for his enthusiastic support to the CRPF and had come up with the idea of Bharat Ke Veer website to contribute towards Martyr’s family.
