The Badshah of Bollywood has struck again and Big B isn’t happy about it. With 3,29,41,837 followers, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is now the industry’s most followed personality on Twitter. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, has 3,29,02,320 million followers. The Angry Young Man has accused the social media giant of reducing the number of his followers and threatens to leave it.

He tweeted, “T 2599 – TWITTER ..!!!?? you reduced my number of followers .. !!??HAHAHAHAHAHAHA .. !! thats a joke .. time to get off from you .. thank you for the ride … there are many ‘other’ fish in the sea – and a lot more exciting !!”

Before tweeting the angry post, he shared stills from the same film, marking the 27 years of the movie. “T 2599 – 27 YEARS of ‘HUM’ .. BAADDUUMMBAAAAA !!! Amazing times and most importantly the creation of the song ‘Jumma Chumma’ by me .. Rajni with me and Govinda .. and of course the Filmfare award !! good times .. good vibrations .. good all along (sic),” he tweeted.

His tweet comes after many prominent Twitter users across the world lost more than a million followers as federal and state agencies in the US started investigating shadowy agencies that sell fake followers.

While Twitter India refused to comment, it referred to an earlier statement made by the parent company, “The tactics used by Devumi on our platform and others as described by today’s NYT article violate our policies and are unacceptable to us. We are working to stop them and any companies like them.”

NY Times reported that entertainers, entrepreneurs, athletes and media figures were among those who lost followers. Most of these followers or artificial engagement was bought from a company called Devumi. Twitter said on Saturday that it would take action against Devumi’s practices.

On the work front, Amitabh will be seen with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in Thugs of Hindostan. He is also working on 102 Not Out that also features Rishi Kapoor in lead role.
