As the film industry is expanding itself on the digital platform two new names will be added to the list soon. One is actor Bobby Deol and another is director Siddharth P Malhotra. After a long list of Bollywood stars, joining the digital space, these two will also be seen sharing the space with them.
Bobby Deol who made a comeback this year with Salman Khan starrer ‘Race 3’ will feature in a web series that will be made by Applause Entertainment. However, the official announcement has not been done yet but it is expected sometime soon.
On the other hand, the filmmaker, who directed the much-appreciated film ‘Hichki’ starring Rani Mukerji recently, had proudly announced his digital debut in an interview. He said, “In 2019, I, as a producer, will be sharing some beautiful digital films made by some great minds. These are stories that no one would allow to be told as they were seen as commercially unviable. I am very proud and honoured to have the chance to empower them to put their stories forth.”
According to the sources, Malhotra will bankroll three projects for different digital platforms.
Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Abhishek Bachchan, R Madhavan, Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Saqib Saleem, and others have been part of some web series/film or the other.
