Emraan Hashmi and sensual scenes are no alienated terms. The actor has given bold kissing and sex scenes in a number of films. With films like Murder, Zeher, Aksar, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Murder, etc, the actor’s name became synonymous with thriller films. One noticeable point about such films and even most of his films is that they have sensual scenes.

After a brief gap, the actor is again all set for a thriller film. Titled The Body, the upcoming film has been creating quite a buzz and Emraan’s chemistry with co-actors Shobhita Dhullipala and Vedhika has been garnering attention. Since it is a thriller and has a plot that contains extra marital affair, the audience is curious if, like Emraan’s other thrillers, this one will also have some steaming scenes.

The actor recently opened about the sensuous scenes in the film during an interview with Zoom. The actor admitted that he was not forced to do any sensual scene but since the film is a remake therefore the makers have tried to remain true to the original. Nonetheless, they have toned down and omitted some scenes that were too hot to be handled by the audience.

“No one told me that we have to do this. It is just that the original concept required it. We took a cue from there and decided to remain true to the book. The director, Jeethu, has done Drishyam in Malayalam cinema so he understands the genre very well. He understands that I don’t have to tink around a lot of things in the film. So he has kept a lot of things and the narrative true to the original but he has given us little nuances. When it comes to sensuality kind of stuff, it does not have anything more than is required.”

He further added, “Actually we have toned it from the original. The original had a lot more. It was just a call of the director, the writer. If the writer had his way he would not keep even one scene. He comes from that school if you see Drishyam. But the writer also felt that we have to import it from the original so let us get only these few scenes and omit the rest.”

The Body is based on a Spanish film called El Cuerpo. The thriller drama revolves around a widower played by Emraan Hashmi, whose wife’s corpse mysteriously disappears from a morgue.

The upcoming film also marks the debut of the celebrated Malayalam filmmaker, Jeethu Joseph in Hindi cinema. He is best known for Mohanlal-starrer, Drishyam, which was remade in four Indian languages and is one of the top two grossing Malayalam feature films of all time.

The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, and also features Vedhika and Sobhita Dhulipala who gained huge popularity after her Amazon Prime show Made In Heaven.

Presented by Viacom18 Studios and produced by Azure Entertainment, The Body releases on the 13th of December where it will be clashing with Rani Mukherjee starrer Mardaani 2 which is sequel of Mardaani.
