After unveiling the official poster and release date a few days ago, the makers of the upcoming film The Body have shared the trailer of the film. But there is twist.
The video shared as trailer is actually not the trailer. The short clip of 45 seconds is a publicity tool to maintain the buzz around the film. The video does not show any thing but features some text which is “Somethings are exactly as they appear. Is this? The Body is missing. And so is the trailer. The truth lies here. Trailer out this Friday.”
So the trailer of the film is not out yet. It will be launched on Friday.
Actor Emraan Hashmi took to his social media account to share the video and wrote, “#TheBody is missing! Trailer Out”

The Body is based on a Spanish film called El Cuerpo. The thriller drama revolves around widower played by Emraan Hashmi, whose wife’s corpse mysteriously disappears from a morgue.
The upcoming film also marks the debut of the celebrated Malayalam filmmaker, Jeethu Joseph in Hindi cinema. He is best known for Mohanlal-starrer, Drishyam, which was remade in four Indian languages and is one of the top two grossing Malayalam feature films of all time.
Talking about the film Joseph said, “This crime mystery thriller with elements of horror has excited me tremendously and we have got perfect casting for the two protagonists in the film.”
The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, and also features Vedhika and Sobhita Dhulipala who gained huge popularity after her Amazon Prime show Made In Heaven.
Presented by Viacom18 Studios and produced by Azure Entertainment, The Body releases on the 13th of December where it will be clashing with Rani Mukherjee starrer Mardaani 2 which is sequel of Mardaani.
