Oscar 2019 preceded by a number of controversies since the beginning. It all started with Kevin Hart stepping down from hosting the event after his very old homophobic tweets resurfaced. Organizers decided that the show must go on, even if it means it has to go hostless.
Then the organizers also wanted to cancel some categories and an official announcement was also made for the same but on the slightest outcry, they went back.
However, this year Oscar held with a grand event amidst controversies and ‘Green Book’ won the biggest award of the night, which is the Best Picture category.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ won four awards including Best Actor award, which is given to Rami Malek.
