Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Tanhaji’ performs well on Day 4

After seeing an excellent business on the weekend, Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has performed quite well on the fourth day of its release. The film collected Rs 13.75 crore on Monday, putting the total collection of four days at Rs 75.68 crore. TAfter opening to promising figures of Rs 15.10 crore on Friday, the film saw a strong growth over the weekend and collected Rs 20.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 26.26 crore on Sunday.

Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh shared the business figures of the film on his social media page. He also informed that the film’s Monday business is actually better than its Friday business at several centres. He wrote, “Tanhaji is unstoppable on Day 4… Collects in double digits, despite lower ticket rates at multiplexes on weekdays… Day 4 numbers are better than Day 1 at several centres… Fri 15.10 cr, Sat 20.57 cr, Sun 26.26 cr, Mon 13.75 cr. Total: ₹ 75.68 cr.”

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare who was celebrated for his role in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD. He was a military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of the Maratha Empire.

Ajay Devgn plays the titular role of Tanhaji whereas Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Udaybhan Rathod and Kajol plays the role of Tanaji’s wife Savitri Malusare. It also features actors Sharad Kelkar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Luke Kenny as Aurangzeb.

Directed by Om Raut and produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was released on 10 January 2020.
