Ayushmann Khurrana can be considered as one of the most bankable stars today. He is giving hit after hit. The actor gave two super hits last year in the form of Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho and this year it seems he is all set give us a hat trick of hits. After successful Article 15 and Dream Girl, his latest film Bala is also set to do a phenomenal business.

Bala that also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam has opened to very promising numbers. The film has collected Rs 10.15 crore on its first day and has become highest opening film of Ayushmann Khurrana surpassing Dream Girl that grossed Rs 10.05 crore on its first day.

Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh took to his social media account to make the announcement. He wrote, “#Bala has an excellent Day 1… Strong word of mouth + Brand Ayushmann are key contributors… Expect biz to grow further on Day 2 and 3… Fri ₹ 10.15 cr. #India biz.”

Although the Bala is the highest opening for Ayushmaan Khurana but the lead is by a very slender margin of a few lakh. The film also has a wider release as compared to Dream Girl but that is not important as the last 500-700 odd screens hardly make a difference as they hardly collect for these films with lesser face value.

The remaining two days of Saturday and Sunday will decide the fate of Bala which actually seems to be very promising. The film is getting good reviews from the critics as well as by the audience. The film is expected to see a very good growth in the collection on weekend.

Bala is a satirical comedy that deals with the subject of premature balding and the societal pressure that comes with it.The film stars Ayushmann Khurran, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Javed Jaffrey, Seema Pahwa and Saurabh Shukla appear in supporting roles.

The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
