After witnessing a dull weekend, Made In China has picked up and saw a good growth on Monday. The film that collected Rs one crore on its opening day has managed to collect more than double of that amount on its fourth day. The film grossed Rs 2.75 crore on Monday, according to a report on Box Office India.

The report said despite the growth the occupancy remains low especially for a national holiday. The film was released on around 1200 screens and these sort of collections on a big holiday are nothing despite the growth.

The film earned Rs 1.5 crore and 1.25 crore on its second and third day. Now, it remains to be seen if there is enough rise in the numbers post Monday. The remaining days, Tuesday to Thursday, are extremely crucial for a strong first week.

The film had a clash with other two films – Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 that also starred a number of other actors and Taapsee Pannu-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh. Going by the numbers, Housefull 4 is maintaining its dominance at the box office.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Made In China stars Rajkummar Rao, Mouni Roy, Boman Irani, and explores the story of a Gujarati businessman, played by Rao, who goes to China to increase his business prospects. The film is directed by Mikhil Musale, director of National Award winning Gujarati film Wrong Side Raju.
