A champion knows what it means to win. He/She knows what is there at stake. They have a sheer desire for victory, unlike no one. Different types of sports have given us heroes to look up to but, the most distinguishable of them all has come from Formula-1. He is known as Ayrton Senna Da Silva, a Brazilian and three-time F-1 champion.
The Brazilian had a flair and determination, never seen before in the world of Formula-1 racing. Having led a colorful life, his story is one that everyone should know. Netflix is ensuring that his story gets told, with a fictional miniseries on his life in works.
That particular miniseries will consist of 8 episodes, which will focus on his personality and family relationships. So how will the series start?
As per Netflix’s press release, the show will start from Ayrton’s career debut, when he went to England for competing on the F1600. Thereafter, the show will go on to discover the man behind the myth. From his sadness, joys, downfalls, and success, the show will end with his tragic death. Senna died in an accident in Imola, Italy while partaking in the Grand Prix of San Marino.
To produce the film, Brazil’s big production house, Gullane has stepped up. Even Senna’s family members will actively take part in the show’s creation.
Sister of the late champion, Viviane Senna talked about the series and said :
“It is very special to be able to announce that we will tell the story that only a few people know about him. The Senna family is committed to making this project something totally unique and unprecedented. And no one better than Netflix, that has a global reach, to be our partner.”
The series will be shot in both English and Brazilian Portuguese. 2022 will see the series releasing on Netflix.
