Following the ouster of Kriti Kahrbanda, TV actress Ankita Lokhande who was last seen on the big screen in Manikarnika is in talks with the makers of upcoming film Chehre that stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.
Pinkvilla has reported that producer Anand Pandit has met Ankita Lokhande and they have already discussed Chehre with her. She has liked the story idea and has given a verbal nod, however, the modalities are yet to be finalized. She has not signed on the dotted line as of now. With Chehre, the actress will be on to her third Bollywood film after Manikarnika and upcoming film Baaghi 3, where she plays Riteish Deshmukh’s love interest.
It was reported yesterday that Kriti was asked to leave the project reportedly due to tantrums and her team’s mismanagement of time and dates. She had even already shot few portions of the film.
The makers went on to confirm the same and wrote, “In the light of recent media reports, we wish to clarify that @kriti_official & @apmpictures have mutually agreed to part ways on a cordial & professional note. We wish her success in all her future endeavors!”

Directed by Rumi Jaffrey, Chehre is being produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. The film is slated to release on 24 April next year.
