‘Chehre’: Kriti Kharbanda asked to leave Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer; Details inside

Kriti Kharbanda is riding high on the super success of her last film Housefull 4 which recently entered the coveted Rs 200 crore club. She is currently promoting her upcoming film Pagalpanti which stars an ensemble cast including John Abraham, Ileana D’Cruz, and others.

She was also working in Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre. She had even shot some of the portions for the film. But according to latest reports, she will no longer be part of the film.

Pinkvilla has reported that Kriti has been thown out of the film because of her tantrums and her team’s mismanagement of dates. This must be a huge setback for the actress who reportedly had a pivotal role in the film being described as a mystery-thriller.

The entertainment website quoted a source as saying,”Kriti’s tantrums and her team’s mismanagement of time and dates were becoming a regular nuisance at work. They were trying to adjust to her demands but had to finally give in. There was a major showdown between the actress and the production and both decided to not go ahead anymore. Kriti has been asked to leave the project and now, she won’t be seen in it anymore.”

Since she had already shot some scenes, they need to be redone with a new actress. “Kriti shot her portions in the first schedule and was all set to be part of the second schedule. But the fallout happened right now and both have mutually decided to not work together on Chehre. At this point, the team is looking at an actress to replace the heroine and the new heroine will be announced soon. The scenes that were shot with Kriti now also needs to be reshot,” the source added.

It would be interesting to see which actress the makers bring in to replace Kriti.

Directed by Rumi Jaffrey, Chehre is being produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. The film is slated to release on 24 April next year.

Anand Pandit Motion Pictures has been at the forefront of successful cinematic ventures such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sarkar 3, Satyamev Jayate, Bazaar, and the recent blockbuster Total Dhamaal.
