Kriti Kharbanda’s ouster from Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre has created quite a stir in the B-town. The makers are now looking for an actress to replace her. Yesterday it was reported that they were in talks with Ankita Lokhande to come on board. She liked the story idea and even gave a verbal confirmation. She was soon expected to sign on the dotted lines. But it seems there is new twist in the story.
According to the latest reports, TV actress Krystle D’souza has managed to bag the role. She reportedly auditioned for the role and was finalized for the same by the makers.
It can be recalled here that a few days ago it was reported that Kriti Kharbanda was asked to leave the project even though she had already shot few portions of the film.. The decision was taken reportedly because her tantrums and her team’s mismanagement of time and dates were becoming a regular nuisance at work. The makers were trying to adjust to her demands but had to finally give in.
The makers went on to confirm the same and wrote on a Twitter post, “In the light of recent media reports, we wish to clarify that @kriti_official & @apmpictures have mutually agreed to part ways on a cordial & professional note. We wish her success in all her future endeavors!”
Directed by Rumi Jaffrey, Chehre is being produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. The film is slated to release on 24 April next year.
