Choked Trailer: Trauma & Faith during Demonetization

It was just a few days back when Anurag Kashyap shared the first look of his upcoming project ‘Choked’ and it took over the Internet just within few hours. The film features Saiyami Kher and Roshan Matthew in the lead roles.

The story revolves around Sarita (Saiyami Kher) who is a banker struggling to run the household on her own as she lets her husband Sushant (Roshan Mathew) follow his lifelong dream of becoming a musician.

The trailer of Choked dropped just a few hours back. Here are two shots from the Trailer which spoke a lot in itself. After the news of demonetization strikes, Amruta Subhash who plays the lady next door expresses the trauma of middle class people as she says, “500 Ka Note gaya, 1000 ka bhi”. The next shot is where Roshan Matthew
exclaims his happiness after hearing out the news, he is presenting the other side of the common people who had full faith in the government and believed that Demonetization would really lead to the betterment of the country, but we are well aware of what actually happened.
