Extraction may become Netflix’s most watched original film starring Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a mercenary-for-hire. On 2 May, the streamer made announcement  that the film is expected to be viewed by almost 90 million households in the first four weeks of release.

The film has also been starring Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda and Priyanshu Painyuli, Extraction follows Tyler, who is sent to Bangladesh to rescue the kidnapped son (Rudraksh Jaiswal) of a drug lord. For Tyler as he develops a bond with the child, the mission turns out to be a soul-racing race.

In India last year, the action-drama was shot extensively. In an interview Chris, stated that making the experience more unique he had never shot in India before.

Extraction brings together the Russo Brothers and Chris, who had collaborated in the last two movies of Avenger. The action-drama is totally based upon the script by  great filmmaker Joe Russo. The movie also marks the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave, who has been working as a stunt coordinator on Russo’s Endgame.

Screen Rant also quoted  that this is not the first time when the Russo brothers have worked on other projects with Marvel actors. The duo also have an upcoming drama which has been titled as Cherry, an adaptation of Nico Walker’s novel of the same name, with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland in the lead. The team has also produced Chadwick Boseman-starrer thriller 21 Bridges after he played his role in the Black Panther.
