Hollywood director Christopher Nolan is planning to screen a prologue of his upcoming film Tenet with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The prologue will not be released online and can be watched only in an IMAX theatre.

This practice is not new for Nolan who had screened the opening sequences of his earlier films like The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk whose prologue was screened with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It is to ensure that the first glimpse of the film is seen by a large audience on a big screen.

Now we need to wait for the 20th of December for the Tenet prologue, when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits the silver screen.

Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. It is described as an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.

A teaser of the film was released with Hobbs & Shaw which showed John David Washington in an oxygen mask, with various quick cuts from different scenes of the film. The teaser was later leaked online and became popular, but was removed from every platform within a month.

Tenet will be released theatrically on 17 July, 2020.
