A short teaser video of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Tenet was released on its official Twitter account, which has left his fans scratching their head to find out the meaning behind it. The video has the title card of the film revolving in a circular fashion.

The film, which has been put under secrecy, hasn’t had an official trailer release yet. Earlier this year, with the theatrical print of the action film Hobbs & Shaw, a short trailer was released featuring its lead actor John David Washington in an oxygen mask. The video was leaked online but was taken down from every platform after Warner Bros copyright claim.

A prologue of the film will be screened with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which is releasing on 20 December. It will not be released online and can be watched only in an IMAX theatre, a practise done by Nolan previously for Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk.

Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. It is described as an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.

Tenet is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 17, 2020.
