A still from the short film

Each day brings out new struggles for almost all of us. We all are surrounded by friends, family, and the loved ones but still somewhere we all are lonely, we are struggling but altogether in a different way. ‘Sometimes I Think About Dying,’ this 12 minutes short film takes us within the thoughts of a young girl (Fran) who overthink about almost everything. She’s fighting her own desire to die every damned minute. Arguing with yourself deep within the thoughts and what it is really like, is very well explored in this short-film.

Though everything changes for her when her co-worker Robert asks her out. But after watching this film I realized maybe Robert was as same as Fran, it was just that he made the first move towards creating a change in his life. The film begins with Fran’s thoughts which might not seem normal to us but that’s the way it is for her every day.

A still from the short film

Everything in this film seems to be made with pure realism and the accuracy makes you feel disturbed and Fran’s awkwardness gets you uncomfortable.

Short films, if made perfectly can have more impact than feature films. Do watch this short-film, available on Youtube. Directed by Stefanie Horowitz, the film features Katy Wright and Jim Sarbh in the lead roles.
