Salman Khan’s much awaited ‘Bharat’ hit the headline, this time for a good cause. As per reports, for safety purposes, Wagah border is recreated in Jalandhar. The filmmakers rented 19-acre of land, priced at Rs. 80 lakh per acre. These lands belong to farmers and they are getting good money by rents their fields.

As soon as this news came out, it went viral and everyone started praising Salman and the filmmaker’s move.

But the report also added that the farmers in the adjacent Jodha village opposed to the film shoot because they could not access their farms.

However, director Ali Abbas Zafar, hushed these rumors saying that no one was against the filming of the film and people of the city are very supportive. “Nothing of this sort has happened. These are just some rumours that have been floating. We have been shooting very peacefully here. The city and the people are supporting us and everyone is very happy. Such speculation is not to be trusted,” he said.

The film is being produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri and it is the adaptation of Korean war drama ‘Ode to My Father’.

Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi and Jackie Shroff are also an important part of the movie. Whereas Varun Dhawan is in a cameo. Katrina Kaif is the female lead of the movie.

Bharat is expected to hit the theatres on Eid 2019.
