Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 is creating the buzz among audience and the makers are all set for the promotion of the film. But just at the time of release and promotions, the film has landed in some trouble. Pyramid Saimira Productions International has now moved a civil suit against Kamal for recovery of Rs 5.44 crore that was paid to the actor’s Raaj Kamal Films International for making the film Marmayogi . According to the agreement, Kamal was to script, direct and do the lead role in the film.

The production house claims that as per a memorandum of understanding that was signed with Raaj Kamal Films International, Rs 10.90 crore was paid by Pyramid Saimira. Kamal, in September 2008, had even written a confirmation mail on the receipt of the money.

They have expressed concern, stating that the actor has not proceeded with the work of the film. They have also claimed that the advance and remuneration for the film has not been returned by the actor.

Kamal Haasan has released several films in the last ten years but has still not returned the advance taken from Pyramid Saimira. The production house has made an allegation that the esteemed actor has been using the fund taken for Marmayogi to make other films, and a due petition was filed to recover the amount. Kamal had released his earlier films by furnishing a bank guarantee to the court.

In 2016, the amount due was ₹ 5.44 crore but now the amount had increased to ₹7.75 crore with interest. Now, the production company has knocked the doors of the court to stop the release of his new movie, Vishwaroopam 2 until the matter is not cleared.
