We reported last month that actors Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey would be teaming up for an Anand L Rai production film. Now, it has been officially confirmed that the two are indeed coming together for the film titled as Haseen Dilruba.
Pannu took to her official Twitter handle to make the announcement and also revealed the release date of the film. It will be released on 18 September 2020. She wrote a couplet from the famous Hindi song Jawaani Jaaneman Haseen Dilruba and wrote “I maybe bad but I’m perfectly good at it.”
She also shared the first poster of the film which looks intriguing. It features a woman standing on the floor with blood spilled over it. A blood-stained knife and a Hindi book titled “Wehshi” can be seen lying around nearby.

Anand L Rai said in a statement as per a report by PTI, “Haseen Dillruba is a murder mystery within a twisted love story, a genre we have not explored before. Really looking forward to entertain and engage the audience with this edgy script.”
Sunil Lulla, Managing Director of Eros International, said, “Unlike other thriller genres, Haseen Dillruba is not just edgy. It’s a perfect blend of entertainment and something which will cater to larger masses. I am glad to be associated with this film.”
The film will be produced by Anand L Rai under his banner Colour Yellow Production in collaboration with Eros International and Himanshu Sharma.
Written by Kanika Dhillon, who wrote Manmarziyaan, Kedarnath, Judgementall Hai Kya, Haseen Dilruba is directed by Vinil Mathew who made his directorial debut with Hasee Toh Phasee.
