Actor Darshan Kumaar, who made his acting debut with Omung Kumar‘s ‘Mary Kom‘ will next feature in PM Narendra Modi’s biopic directed by the same director. The two will work together for the third time, as Darshan was also seen in Omung’s ‘Sarbjit’.

However, the filmmakers have not revealed the actor’s role in the movie but hinted that he will be seen in the key role. According to a statement, “Darshan, who has earlier worked under Omung’s direction in films like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’, will play an integral part in the project, casting for which is currently on.”

Producer Sandip Ssingh said in a statement: “This is Darshan’s third film with us. He made his debut with our film ‘Mary Kom’. It’s wonderful to be teaming up with him for ‘PM Narendra Modi’. His character will play a key role in the film’s story.”

Darshan said he is “honored to be a part of the biggest biopic”. Vivek Anand Oberoi will play the role of the current Prime Minister of India and the film will be shot across the country.

The film is expected to go on floors very soon and might release before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Darshan also acted in Salman Khan‘s movie ‘Tere Naam’ and played the role of one of his friend. After 11 years, he was back on the big screen as the male lead. Kumaar has a history of working in female-oriented films, like Priyanka Chopra‘s ‘Mary Kom’, Anushka Sharma‘s ‘NH 10’ and Aishwarya Rai‘s ‘Sarbjit’.
