One of the youngest mountaineer the 10-year-old Urvi Patel is about to make her Bollywood debut with an upcoming film ‘Dear Molly’. The Indo-Sweden collaboration has been made by National Award-winning filmmaker and scriptwriter Gajendra Ahires.

Urvi ascended the height of 13,800 ft during a Himalayan trek this year. The young mountaineer Patil is really excited about the film and her role. She said in a statement, “I’m really thankful and grateful to my director Gajendra sir and our film’s producers Praveen (Nischol) sir and Ratan (Jain) sir for giving me this lovely opportunity to be part of such a great film.”

“I haven’t had any formal shooting experience in the past and this was my first time on a film set. It was great fun shooting and really enriching experience,” Patil added.

Ahire said, “It was a delight to have little Urvi as part of our film ‘Dear Molly’. She is also one of the youngest mountaineers who has trekked the Himalayas. Her energy and enthusiasm were evident on the sets which made working with her all the more fun.”

‘Dear Molly’ is basically based on a father-daughter relationship. A daughter who has last seen her father at the age of five goes to Sweden on a search mission. And the film’s story explores the same.

A large part of the film has been shot in Sweden, including the capital Stockholm and Europe. While some parts were shot in Maharashtra.

The film stars Gurbani Gill as Molly, well-known Marathi actors Alok Rajwade, Mrinmayee Godbole and Ashwini Giri and Swedish cast including Lia Boysen and Chris Holmgren.

The film is presented by Manmohan Shetty and Ganesh Jain and it is scheduled to be released in 2019.
