How religious hatred flamed discrimination, riots, and a series of terrorist bombings in the city of Bombay. This song written by Piyush Mishra and composed by the Indian Ocean revolves around characters like Badshah Khan in this particular film who eventually become a part of angry humanism, ready to take revenge against the community and ending up destroying humanity.
Badshah Khan realizes that he has been fooled by the so-called saviors of religion and this song successfully portrays his state of mind as he comes to a point of realization. “Jung ka rang sunehra samjha…Jung ka rang tha kaala re,” these lines from the song seem to converse through Badshah as he is wandering all across the nation hiding from the law and the hope which had arisen earlier seems to be extinguishing now.
