With an adaptation of epic folklore ‘Laila Majnu,’ the 2018 film with the same title was a musical treat apart from the best performances. The song which stands out in the film is “O Meri Laila” which is slated post the climax of the film, with the end credits. This song is composed of beautifully, it expresses a story within a story. With a tragic climax, this song depicts the blossoming romance between both the characters essayed by Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri, but on The Other Side.

On the other side, living happily as it is mentioned after the end credits. The film’s actual story ends tragically but symbolizing their eternal love this song portrays it perfectly. On the other side, they live, roam around happily with no bounds matching the societal expectations.

Unlike this song, “Aahista” is meant to build up the tone for Climax and portraying the mental perspective of Qais (Avinash Tiwary) as he waits for too long in search of Laila (Tripti Dimri). Talking wholely about the music of the film, it really stands out in terms of retelling this epic folklore and matching it’s a tragic yet beautiful story.
