A still from Talaash

Coming to terms with a loss, finding ways to retract yourselves, and accepting the truth can be a few healthy pros to rename your grief as a reaction to loss. And this positive conversation is made through the song ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ from the film Talaash. There are different stages in the song which gives us an overview of the way people deal with their grief. Surjan (Aamir Khan ) grieves with the accidental death of his son in a very close way, he’s numb from within and is pretending to live his life accordingly.

While right from the beginning of the film, Roshni is in the spotlight and we believe the narrative that she’s yet to get over the past. And when she opens up about Suri being the numb one, the narrative changes, and here’s actually the first twist of this film which we do not tend to notice.

A still from Talaash

And this is essayed through the song divided into three different stages, where the moments are stated to be overrated as you may not have the spiritual and meaningful moment every time, the loss can occur unknowingly, and it’s too real. As Surjan and Roshni relive their memories with their son they in a way are traumatized in-between ‘getting over it’ and ‘regretting the loss’. There’s no time limit to deal with the same, you can’t skip it, you’ll suffer in some form, forever. And the only hope here is to cherish the good memories and live a little as in ‘Jee Le Zaraa’
