Farah Khan has roped in Deepika Padukone for her next film which is under Rohit Shetty‘s banner, Rohit Shetty Picturez. Farah Khan will return to the director’s chair after a long gap and will be collaborating with Rohit Shetty for an action-comedy. According to the reports, Filmmakers have already approached Deepika for the lead, as the story demands a strong female character and Farah thinks Deepika is a perfect fit for the role. However, the talks are still around B-town and the official announcement of the same is still awaited.

If ‘Padmaavat’ actress gives a green light to the project, it will be after five years that Deepika-Farah will collaborate for a film after ‘Happy New Year’. This movie was Farah’s last directorial venture. The duo shares a lot of history together as Deepika made her Bollywood debut with Farah’s 2007 film ‘Om Shanti Om’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.

Yesterday, Farah took to social media to share the big news with her followers.

“Sometimes, the universe conspires to give you what you didn’t even imagine. Together with Rohit, who I genuinely love as a brother and whose work ethic I respect and share, I can only promise a mother of all entertainers! I can’t wait to say ‘Roll, camera…’ for this one”, Farah explained in a statement.

The action-comedy film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez. The film is anticipated to have a larger than life depiction, as it will be presented by two creative minds.
