Actor John Abraham will not be a part of the sequel of Deewana Mastana 2 about which the announcement was made recently.
Anil Kapoor announced the sequel of David Dhawan’s 1997 film Deewana Masatana that starred Anil Kapoor, Govinda, and Juhi Chawla While making the announcement with Govinda, Anil also said that John Abraham will also star in it.
John, who is starring in Pagalpanti with Anil Kapoor, said recently that Anil and Govinda were happy to see each other after a long time. He quipped that he was forced into it and he is not doing the film. He said that they said it out of love and that there is no truth to it.
Making the announcement on the set of dance reality show Nach Baliye 9, Anil Kapoor said, “Since Govinda and I have met after a long time, I would like to announce Deewana Mastana 2. This time we will have John Abraham too.”
Govinda said, “Anil Kapoor is one of the most genuine people I have met and worked with in my life. He is my senior and I always looked up to him, but I was very scared to talk to him. Anil was always so cordial that he never made me feel any different from him.”
Actress Raveena Tandon, who had a special appearance in the original film, has also been reported to be playing a pivotal role in the sequel.
Anil and John came to the dance reality show to promote their upcoming film Pagalpanti which is directed by Anees Bazmee. Interestingly, Anees also wrote Deewana Mastana. The film also had a cameo of Salman Khan opposite Juhi Chawla. This was the only time where they were paired opposite each other.
