The rising level of pollution in Delhi air has created a problem for Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. The film was being shot in Chandigarh and after that the crew was suppossed to shoot in Delhi. But, the toxic air of the capital, made it difficult for the crew to breathe.
Reportedly, a reliable source said, “The cast and crew couldn’t breathe. Visibility was so low that the camera couldn’t capture the shots properly. It was a no-win situation. The team decided to disperse until the weather improves.”
Dostana 2 features Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya in the lead roles. It may be recalled that Karan Johar revealed Lakshya as the third lead, on his social media account; denying the rumor on Lakshya being a star kid. The film has been written by Navjot Gulati, Collin D’Cunha, Sumit Arora, and Rishabh Sharma.
Before the outset of the shoot, Kartik Aaryan posted a picture on his Instagram handle, seeking blessings from the producer Karan Johar. Kartik caption it as, ‘Maa da laadla #Chandigarh nikal gaya #Dostana2 !! ???? The Dharma rivaaz that all actors need to follow before starting a Dharma film @karanjohar ????.’ To which Karan replied, “Haha! Thats rubbish! Stop ageing me ????????.”
Recently both Kartik and Janhvi shared pictures from their visit to the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Looks like the actors wanted to get some positive vibes before the new beginnings. In these pictures the Dhadak actress is all dressed in Salwar Kameez and Kartik donned a white t-shirt with his head covered as per traditions.
This year looks packed up for both the actors. Besides Dostana 2, Janhvi is working on three other projects: ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl‘ which is a biographical drama based on the life of an IAF Pilot, ‘Roohi Afza,’ a horror comedy drama produced under the banner of Maddock Films and the multistarrer film ‘Takht‘ directed by Karan Johar.
Kartik on the other hand, is caught up with the promotions of ‘Pati Patni aur Woh.’ He will also be seen in Imtiaz ali’s Love Aaj Kl sequel alongside Sara Ali Khan. Apart from these two the Punchnama actor has also been cast for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
