Amidst all the conjectures making the round in Bollywood regarding the hush- hush affair between Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, designer Manish Malhotra has made a statement revealing that Alia- Ranbir will be the hook- up of 2018.
No, there hasn’t been any official statement by the designer suggesting the affair’s confirmation! However, it was all during fun and games in Neha Dhupia’s show, Vogue BFFs, that Manish said the same.
In a promo of the show we see Sonakshi Sinha and Manish Malhotra being the candid guests at the show. When asked, “hook-up of 2018 will be?” Manish gave a very prompt reply “Alia and Ranbir”. Well there’s every chance of the choice being hypothetical and completely in jest but the promptness of his answer suggested otherwise. Don’t you think?

Ever since Alia and Ranbir have been roped in for Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmastra, rumors regarding their growing camaraderie and closeness is getting ripe. They’ve been meeting at each other’s places and have also been tricking tabloids by sending their cars home early while staying together till late hours. All of this certainly insinuates Manish’s guess that might as well be right.
Alia has already been targeted for crushing over Ranbir when she ended up saying in a show that she wants to marry him. She later clarified by saying, “I spoke like a fangirl; like I would say, ‘Oh my God, I want to marry Bradley Cooper.’ I didn’t say it with any genuine intention, thinking, ‘Okay, tomorrow, I will go to Ranbir’s house and ask him to marry me.’ Why would I say such a thing on national television? And I didn’t expect people to take it so seriously. I am just a big fan of Ranbir.”
Back in the show, Sonakshi too gave a rather controversial response saying Alia- Siddharth will be the break-up of 2018. We don’t know whether that would or wouldn’t happen but in answering the question she has unknowingly admitted to the former’s relationship who haven’t ever made it official themselves.
Owing to the strong friendship that Ranbir’s ex Katrina has with Alia, it will be fascinating to see how this situation turns up!
