Actress Dia Mirza is one of the most socially aware people from the film industry who is always vocal about various issues.

The actress recently shared some pictures on her Instagram profile, to celebrate a good news to her fans.

Dia won the Best Actor OTT Female (Critics) Award at the Gold Awards for her web series ‘Kaafir. The series also won the Best Web Series OTT (Critics).

‘Kaafir’ was a web series directed by Sonam Nair and written by Bhavani Iyer. Co-starring Mohit Raina and Dara Sandhu, the story followed a PoK girl who accidentally ends up in the Indian border only to be held prisoner.

It was released on 15 June, 2019 on the online streaming platform Zee5 and met with positive critical reception, with particular praise for Dia’s performance.

Dia recently produced a web sitcom ‘Mind the Malhotras’, which was based on the Israeli comedy ‘La Famiglia’ and starred Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahukar.

Dia’s last film outing was 2018’s Rajkumar Hirani directed ‘Sanju’, which was based on the life of Sanjay Dutt. She played the role of his wife Manyata Dutt in it.
