Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza is one of the actresses who has always been vocal about environmental issues, be it climate change, deforestation or wildlife protection.

She recently shared a picture of herself on her Instagram profile, giving out a strong message to her fans to give up using plastic bottles.

The actress wrote: “Have you found sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic yet? My #TravelingBottle travels with me everywhere. For two years I have managed to not use a single plastic bottle. It takes some effort and persistence but feels SO good knowing that our individual action can help reduce the pollution that drinking water from single use plastic bottles causes.
Plastic is contaminating our waterways, oceans, soil, food chain and is also found in our blood streams. ➡1,000,000 plastic bottles are purchased every minute ➡5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used worldwide every year ➡300 million tonnes of plastic waste are produced yearly
Our planet is drowning in plastic! Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution!

Dia was recently among the few Bollywood celebrities who openly condemned the cutting down of trees in Mumbai’s Array forest.

On the work front, Dia was last seen in the web series ‘Kaafir’, where she played the role of PoK women who winds up in Indian border.

She also produced the web sitcom ‘Mind the Malhotras’, which was based on the Israeli sitcom ‘La Famigila’. It premiered on 7 June on Amazon Prime.
