Carving his name in the history forever, the very talented Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh became the first ever turbaned person to feature at Madame Tussauds Museum. Dosanjh unveiled his wax figurine at the Madame Tussauds Delhi and the actor is quite excited about this. Diljit now has his image recreated in wax-form for display at the Delhi museum.
Due to the rising tension between India and Pakistan, actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh had postponed the unveiling of his wax figurine at the Madame Tussauds, Delhi. The ‘Udta Punjab’ actor amidst rising tension between the neighboring countries, wanted to stand with the Indian Defence and thus rescheduled the unveiling of his statue.
“An actor is more than his ethnicity and his religion. A filmmaker, a director has to be convinced and should be able to envision someone in a role, regardless of Sikh or not Sikh, if the filmmaker feels you suit the role, then that’s perfect,” Diljit had earlier told IANS.
Dosanjh made his Bollywood debut with multi starrer film ‘Udta Punjab’ which released in 2016. Although the film starred noted actors of Bollywood like Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Shahid Kapoor, Diljit managed to get noticed by his performance.
